Contact PacketReady
Questions about the checker, a result that looks wrong, or interest in remediation: send a message and we will reply by email.
Before you write
- Reporting a result: tell us which check and what it said, and what you expected. Please do not send the document unless it is already public; a link to a posted document is ideal.
- Need an accessible version of a public document? Contact the government or organization that posted it. PacketReady does not host other organizations' documents.
- Remediation or pricing: the remediation page has a form with the details we need to quote.
Reporting a result that looks wrong
False alarms and missed problems both help us improve the checks. The most useful reports include:
- The name of the check and the exact result text, or the downloaded report.
- What you expected, and why. If another tool such as PAC or Acrobat's checker disagrees, say what it reported.
- The program and version that produced the PDF, for example "Word for Microsoft 365, Save As PDF", if you know it.
- A link to the document if it is already public. If it is not public, describe it instead of sending it.
Reporting an accessibility barrier on this site
If any part of PacketReady is hard to use with a screen reader, keyboard, magnification, voice control or another setup, tell us what you were trying to do, which page you were on, and the browser and assistive technology you use. We treat these reports as bugs.
If you need a public document in another format
Governments that post documents are responsible for providing accessible versions when residents ask for them. Contact the clerk's office or the department that posted the document and say which format works for you, such as an accessible PDF, a Word file or plain text.
Questions about remediation
If you are asking about having documents fixed, these details let us answer in one reply instead of three: the kind of organization you work for, roughly how many pages you post in a month, where you post them (for example BoardDocs, Granicus, CivicPlus, iCompass, eSCRIBE or your own website), and any deadline you are working toward. The remediation page has a form with those fields, and it explains the pilot for public bodies. A link to a recently posted packet is the fastest way to get a concrete answer, because we can run it through the checker first.
Associations, newsletters and partners
If you run a clerk association, a municipal league newsletter or a training program and would like to mention the free checker or the guides, you are welcome to link to them. Write to us if you would like a short description, a screenshot, or an explanation of how the checker works for your members.
What happens after you write
A person reads every message and replies by email. We use your details only to answer and follow up on what you asked about, and we do not add anyone to a mailing list. The privacy page lists exactly what the form collects and how to ask us to delete it. If the form will not send, your text stays in the form so you can try again later.
Security reports
If you believe you have found a security problem, for example any way the site could send file contents off your device, please report it with this form. Describe the issue and how to reproduce it, and avoid posting details publicly until we have had a chance to fix it.
